Creative Pod is a local, award-winning agency based in Crawley, West Sussex. At the beginning of March 2022, they announced that they would be supporting Chestnut Treehouse by pledging to fundraise £16,000 to celebrate their 16th anniversary.
Creative Pod works with local businesses, organisations and charities to become their outsourced marketing, design and website department. Their CEO, Matt Turner, is a Patron of Chestnut Treehouse, so naturally, the whole team wanted to continue their support by fundraising for an incredible charity.
CEO Matt Turner said: “Turning 16 is an incredible milestone for us, and we are glad to celebrate this achievement by helping to fundraise for a worthwhile cause. I’ve been a Patron of Chestnut Treehouse for many years, and it’s wonderful to see the team wanting to show their support as well.”
Chestnut Treehouse is a local charity that provides care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions in Sussex and South East Hampshire. Their goal is to provide the best quality of life for children, young people and their families and to offer practical, social and spiritual support throughout each child’s life.
Throughout the year, from March 2022 - to March 2023, Creative Pod will be challenging themselves to fundraise. A few marketing team members participated in the Brighton 10km race back in April, and the whole team will be joining in other events, including running a 5k inflatable course and a corporate rounders game. They are currently organising an extensive 52km walk from the Creative Pod office in Manor Royal to Chestnut Treehouse’s location in Arundel. (Wish them luck!).
The team would also like to volunteer their time and visit Chestnut Treehouse for the day to understand a day in the life of someone who works at Chestnut and supports the young children.
This is just one example of how an organisation can support a local charity through fundraising activities. If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved and expand into the CSR world, please get in touch.
In recent years, RPD has helped St Catherine’s Hospice, Air Ambulance and Crawley Open House. This year, they are supporting the Crawley Foodbank Partnership, a worthwhile cause that desperately needs help.
